I believe that a job as interior designer implies creativity, imagination and good taste, but I think as well that in order to develop these natural features it is necessary to have a good knowledge of materials, building techniques and coordinating methods of the workers and expenses, in short of the pragmatic side of the work together with the most strictly aesthetic one.

In 1982 I took a diploma at the Mengaroni State Art School of Pesaro, in the department of " Design and Furnishing". The school of Art gave me a good starting point, but the basic experience of my human and professional training was together with my father in his joiner's workshop where, next to him that used to build furniture, I could deepen my knowledge of various kinds of wood and their characteristics, their techniques of use and the care of their details, absolutely necessary for a good outcome. I feel to
owe a lot to this first contact of mine with the "material" aspect of an achievement, so that up to today, looking at myself, I keep on recognizing myself just as if I were a craftsman: I take the liberty of the building yard, the purchasers (with whom I like to establish a relationship, I daresay, of "complicity" ) and the workers, in an immediate "epidermic" way, becoming enthusiastic over every single detail that I love to arrange personally, by bare hands, as well as I get emotionally involved by the big "general" decisions through which I aim to the homogeneity of the final outcome.

Professionally, my first steps in the design world occurred when I used to collaborate with firms dealing with furnishing for hotels, bars, restaurants, shops and various public commercial concerns ì, but always carrying out my passion for the house spaces. Since 1989 I have been joining, with firm belief, the AIPI (Italian Association of Interior Designers) of which I Was also a regional representative for Emilia Romagna, in the decade from 1999 to 2000.

In my productive work I straightaway found charming the synergy between the technician’s requirements that star from the architectural and formal size till coming to the structural one of a work, and the taste, the passions, the memories and technology with witch the purchaser would like to characterize his own house. I conceive the customer as an integral part of the planning and that’s why even today I work as an Interior designer with the awareness that a project should always originate from a deep knowledge of the demands and sensitiveness, even cultural, of the customer himself.
